SIDMA College, UNITAR International University Sabah, through its Student Affairs and Development (STAD) held an Oath-taking Ceremony for all its new students joining the college. The ceremonial event held on 11 October 2017 at the Kadazandusun Cultural Association Unity Hall (Hongkod Koisaan), Penampang was to enable the more than 600 new students joining SIDMA College UNITAR Sabah during Semester June and October 2017 to formally promise and pledge the oath script to commit themselves to the ethical practices, be active and responsible students, and to abide to all the rules and regulations of the college and the university, as well as to instil a culture of excellence among these students.

Chairman of SIDMA College Sabah, Dr. Morni Kambrie today welcomed the news that more and more Bachelor of Education graduates of UNITAR and UNIRAZAK, are getting Interim Teachers Posting in Sabah. “This is a welcome news for everyone”, says Dr. Morni at a function at SIDMA College here at Jalan Bundusan.
“We welcome and applaud the Education Ministry and the Sabah State Education Department’s efforts to help place the graduates and the Education Ministry for supporting and appointing more UNITAR Sabah Bachelor of Education (Hons) graduates as INTERIM Teachers in their recent exercise held on 26 September 2017. These newly appointed teachers have already reported for duty at their respective schools.
Al-Mughni Welfare and Orphanage Organization, the Orphanage Charitable organization operated by SIDMA College Sabah whose primary objective of its establishment is for the love of humanity: the caring, sharing, nourishing and nurturing of the young and deprived local children. It was initiated and launched by Dr Morni Hj Kambrie (Founder and Chairman of SIDMA College as well as Chairman of the Organization) and the late Tuan Haji Ali Ghafar at Kampung Lubok, Weston, on 27 May 2013. It was also part of Dr Morni’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR); a way to give back to the society a portion of the college's earnings by sharing it with the deprived, neglected and needy children.
