KOTA KINABALU, 22 November 2024 – SIDMA College Sabah melakar sejarah baharu apabila meraikan seramai 107 graduan sempena Majlis Konvokesyen Ke-10 yang berlangsung di Dewan Auditorium Jabatan Kebudayaan dan Kesenian Negara (JKKN), Sabah. Majlis penuh gilang-gemilang itu telah dirasmikan oleh Menteri Belia dan Sukan Negeri Sabah, Datuk Ellron Alfred Angin.

Dalam ucapan perasmiannya, Datuk Ellron menzahirkan ucapan tahniah kepada graduan atas kejayaan mereka serta memuji usaha SIDMA College dalam melahirkan graduan yang berkualiti dan berdaya saing. "Pendidikan adalah aset utama dalam membentuk masyarakat yang maju dan seimbang. Saya percaya graduan SIDMA akan terus menjadi pemangkin kepada pembangunan negeri ini," katanya.

Selain daripada itu, “Hari ini adalah satu acara untuk meraikan pencapaian anda, tetapi ia juga merupakan permulaan bab baru dalam hidup anda. Semasa anda memulakan perjalanan yang menarik ini, semoga anda menghadapi setiap peluang dan cabaran dengan keberanian dan ketekunan. Saat kejayaan ini hanyalah permulaan kepada jalan yang dipenuhi dengan potensi dan kemungkinan,” ujar beliau.

Majlis tersebut turut menyaksikan penghargaan khas diberikan kepada pelajar cemerlang. Abigail Joan Frederick dinobatkan sebagai penerima Anugerah Pelajar Terbaik SIDMA 2024 bagi program Diploma Pendidikan Awal Kanak-kanak. Kecemerlangannya bukan sahaja dalam akademik, tetapi juga dalam aktiviti kokurikulum menjadikan beliau contoh terbaik kepada rakan seperjuangan.

Sementara itu, Anugerah Pelajar Terbaik bagi program Diploma Pengurusan diberikan kepada Darren Paulson Linggi, yang turut dipuji atas dedikasi dan prestasi akademiknya yang konsisten sepanjang pengajian.

Graduan-graduan lain turut menerima diploma dalam pelbagai bidang, membuktikan komitmen SIDMA College dalam menawarkan program pendidikan yang relevan dengan keperluan industri semasa.

Majlis diakhiri dengan sesi bergambar bersama para graduan, pensyarah, dan tetamu kehormat, mencipta kenangan manis bagi semua yang hadir. Kejayaan ini bukan sahaja milik para graduan tetapi juga bukti kukuh terhadap kecemerlangan SIDMA College dalam sektor pendidikan tinggi di Sabah.

KOTA KINABALU: The first coding school in Sabah, Elevate Academy of Technology and Innovation (Elevate Academy), recently inked Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with two learning institutions here to provide training and development solutions in emerging technologies.

The agreements were signed with Sidma College and KKIP Aerospace Training Centre (KATC) during a ceremony on Tuesday (May 9) here, witnessed by the state Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry deputy permanent secretary II Alijah Ismail.

The event, which coincided with Hari Raya celebrations, was also attended by various industry stakeholders, representatives from agencies under the Ministry and other state government agencies, said Elevate Academy in a statement on Thursday (May 11).

On April 10th, 2023, Gabungan Mahasiswa Mahasiswi SIDMA Sabah (GAMSIS) organized a program called Ihya Ramadan, which was aimed at promoting the values and spirit of the holy month of Ramadan. The program started at 1.30 pm and lasted until 9 pm, and it was attended by all Muslim staff and students.340643619 1309225306293357 788031303568442711 n

The event included a variety of activities, which were designed to provide an immersive and engaging experience for everyone involved. One of the highlights of the program was the Majlis Khatam Al Quran, where participants had the opportunity to complete the recitation of the entire Quran. This activity was followed by Islamic lecture that focused on the miracle of Al Quran and its relevance in contemporary times.

As the sun began to set, everyone gathered to participate in the break fasting ceremony, where they enjoyed a delicious meal of dates, water, and a variety of local dishes. This was followed by the Taraweeh congregational prayers, which provided an opportunity for everyone to reflect on their faith and connect with one another. In addition to the spiritual activities, the Majlis Perwakilan Pelajar, also prepared a dish called Bubur Lambuk to be distributed to everyone. This traditional dish, which is typically served during Ramadan, was a testament to the spirit of community and sharing that characterizes this holy month.
