SIDMA College Sabah with full cooperation and collaboration from Education Department Sabah (JPN Sabah) and eleven District Education Officers (PPD) will co-organise a KadazanDusun Language Speech Contest “Pialaan Raisol Doid Boros KadazanDusun” for secondary school students of Sabah in October 2018. This is another of Dr Morni Hj Kambrie (Founder and Chairman of SIDMA College) initiative to intervene and put the KadazanDusun language to stronger footing. This is due to the fact that the KadazanDusun language, like any other native languages in Sabah, has been seemingly declining from its originality despite the fact that the language has been offered as an elective subject in public primary and secondary schools in Sabah beginning 2000. This is basically due to the dynamic development among the Malaysia culture whereby emphasis is placed on the usage of Bahasa Malaysia as national language and English as the second language.

Dr Morni Hj Kambrie, Founder and Chairman of SIDMA College Sabah was officially invited to conduct a motivational talk in conjunction with Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Terusan, Lahad Datu Career and Education Carnival 2018 held at the school hall on from 10 to 12 August 2018.

The main aim of the event was to facilitate and give direct exposure about industries in various field such science, technology, engineering and management, and let the students explore the different fields and career paths that suits them. SMK Terusan has a total enrolment of about 2,000 students and majority are from various communities of Sabah; and it’s through such Career and Education Carnival that could provide relevant information for them to select and realised that future dreamt career.

Y.A.B Datuk Seri Panglima Hj Mohd Shafie Bin Hj Apdal, Chief Minister of Sabah, when officiating the 2018 Sabah Private Universities and Colleges (MASISWA) Sports Carnival at Kota Kinabalu Sports Complex on 22 July 2018, congratulated the contingents for their full commitment and excellence performance in the 2018 MASISWA Sports Carnival and hope that they will continue to excel and be able to represent the country and the nation; much to the applauds from all the IPTS students.

The Chief Minister added that sports play a great role in our life as it keeps us healthy, wealthy; and increase our ability to always stay active and resilient. We can only have healthy mind when we have a healthy body – thus enabling us to achieve our dreams as well as to overcome obstacles. Great achievements can come our way when we maintain our physical and mental well-being.
