Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS), a top tier healthcare university in Malaysia, conducted its 9th Convocation Ceremony at CUCMS Grand Hall, Persiaran Bestari Cyber 11, Cyberjaya, Kuala Lumpur on 16 December 2018.
During this auspicious occasion, a total of 19 students of the SIDMA College collaborative programmes with CUCMS received their scrolls; whereby 15 graduates received their Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), and another four (4) graduates received their Diploma in Paramedic Science (DPS).
The convocation ceremony was officiated by Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah DK, SSDK, PSM, SPMK, DSDK, PAT, BCK, KPK, Hons PhD (Binary University); the Sultan of Kedah and the Tuanku Canselor CUCMS.
Meanwhile, Dr Morni Hj Kambrie (Founder and Chairman of SIDMA College) and Madam Azizah Khalid Merican (CEO) shared their joyous and memorable occasion of the 9th CUCMS Convocation Ceremony. They expressed their warmest congratulations to the graduates, particular those from SIDMA College Sabah, who have successfully gone through an important phase of study that lays the foundation of life-long learning. Apart from knowledge, they too need to develop their skills, construct and communicate knowledge, able to collaborate with others, be ready to listen and be creative in their thinking.
They too encouraged the graduates to use higher education as a path for character building and not merely as a means for career development. Blending the essence of modern education and values of useful citizens of the country should be at the heart of all graduates, they added.
To all these graduates, Dr Morni and Madam Azizah added, “Your most incredible and amazing journey to be a professional is in the making. Continue your climb and inspires your excellence. With love and pride, we convey our sincere “CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR GRADUATION”.
Dr Morni and Madam Azizah also conveyed their appreciation and congratulations to the graduates’ family, relatives, and friends as well as to all who shared pride and joy of the graduates success; for their patience, understanding, sacrifices, and support during those challenging but rewarding years throughout the studies. They too advised these graduates to be grateful to their parents, relatives, and friends, for their contributions, which have directly or indirectly assisted and brought them to their present level.
The successful launching of “Collegiate Champion” and the signing of Academic Collaboration between CUCMS and SIDMA College at the Ministry of Higher Learning, Putrajaya was held way back on 27 June 2012 and have paved ways for the implementation of this academic collaboration between CUCMS and SIDMA College.
CUCMS views the partnership with SIDMA College as an important initiative in building a knowledge community, and to that end; encourages different forms of strategic partnerships, which include collaborative engagement with affiliate colleges as well as other international universities.
