Heartiest Congratulations to our 2017 SIDMA-CUCMS Graduates

Dr Morni Hj Kambrie (Founder and Chairman of SIDMA College), Madam Azlina Ngatimin (Director, Public Relations and Business Development), Madam Azizah Khalid Merican (CEO),  Head and Managers of Departments, lecturers and staff of SIDMA College extend their sincere and heartiest congratulations to the third batch of SIDMA – Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS) graduates who have received their scrolls on 01 November 2017 at Setia City Convention Centre (SCCC), Shah Alam, Selangor.

Dr Morni and SIDMA Board of Management who were indeed very pleased with the ceremony, noted that the 120 graduates from Sabah who have just received their scrolls represent the third batch of students jointly recruited by SIDMA and CUCMS after the successful signing of the Academic Collaboration Agreement between Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences and SIDMA College, and endorsed by the Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia, at Putrajaya on 27 June 2012.

Madam Azizah Khalid Merican, who represented SIDMA College during the 8th CUCMS Convocation Ceremony, was indeed happy and glad to announce that these students have shown their determination to work hard, willing to sacrifice, and able to complete their studies with good standings.

The convocation was officiated by Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan Sallehuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah DK., SHMS, SSDK, PSM, SPMK, DSDK, PAT., BCK, KPK, Hons PhD (Binary University), the current of Sultan of Kedah Darul Aman state and the Tuanku Canselor for CUCMS.

Interestingly, during this session of convocation, graduate from Sabah, Kevin Lo won the Industrial Award among all other graduates. Kevin is a graduates for the Diploma in Paramedic Science and is actively involved with Malaysian Red Crescent Society (PBSM) in Sabah and was an outstanding student both academically and extracurricularly. This is the second time that SIDMA CUCMS graduates have received such Award, the first one was Logiman J. Gamad also a graduates in Diploma in Paramedic Science. This is clearly evidence of the academic and extracurricular excellence that SIDMA College is aiming for its students.

Madam Azizah also took the opportunity to express her appreciations and thanks to all the graduates family, relatives, lecturers, friends as well as to all who shared their pride and joy of the graduates success; for their understanding, sacrifice and support them during their studies at the college. She too advised these graduates to show the gratefulness to their parents, relatives, teachers and friends; particularly to those who have contributed and brought these graduates to their present level.

Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS) established in 2005, and located in Cyberjaya, Malaysia’s first smart city; is a top-tier healthcare university in Malaysia as reflected in the latest Malaysia Qualification Agency’s SETARA ratings, which has accorded CUCMS a Tier 5 (Excellent) rating on par with leading public universities in Malaysia.

CUCMS views partnership with SIDMA College as an important tool in building a knowledge community and to that end, it encourages different forms of strategic partnerships, which include collaborative engagement with affiliate colleges as well as international universities.

SIDMA College, through such collaborative agreement with CUCMS is currently offering only Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
