INTRODUCTION

CMBA provides opportunity for individuals to advance their career in business management and practitioners to sharpen their corporate administration as well as management skills and knowledge. The programme has attracted a highly motivated community of students from diverse academic backgrounds and working experiences. We bring together experienced, dedicated and qualified lecturers to ensure an innovative, application-oriented and multidisciplinary program. CMBA is outstanding because it has retained the best features of the traditional MBA combined with the contemporary features demanded by today’s business and corporate managers. CMBA is committed to continuous quality improvement to accommodate the concurrent industrial needs and market demands for sustainability.

DURATION OF THE PROGRAMME
CMBA is a master programme by coursework over a minimum duration of 18 months, which is equivalent to 5 semesters of study. There are 3 semesters in a year. Most students can manage to complete their studies in 5 semesters. For those who choose to do it at a slower pace, the maximum period of study is 4 years.

PROGRAMME SCHEDULE
The programme requires students to accumulate 44 credit hours in 5 semesters. On average, students need to study 3 courses (9 credits) per semester in February and September (long) semesters, and 2 courses (6 credits) in July (short) semester. EBB6052 and EBB6063 will be taken in their fourth and fifth semester respectively. Formal teaching and learning activities are conducted on weekends in physical classroom, complemented by online meetings.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and with relevant working experience, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
  • A Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the HEP Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses; OR
  • Other equivalent/related qualifications to a Bachelor’s degree (Level 6, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government
  • For international students, a minimum Band 4 in MUET or equivalent to CEFR (Mid B2); IELTS Score of 6.0 or its equivalent (e.g TOEFL iBT - 60) is required
APEL.A for for Access (For Malaysian Only)
  • More than 30 years of age on January in the year of application; AND
  • STPM/Recognised Diploma/Matriculation/Foundation/Other Equivalent; AND
  • Relevant working experience/prior experiential learning; And
  • Pass the APEL A Assessment (Aptitude Test, Portfolio and Interview)
